There IS a Difference!

The reason most candle stores carry dozens of scents is because there are dozens of people who WANT a particular scent. They may not know it until they smell it, but they are clear in their likes and dislikes.

Many will gravitate to an old favorite, like Freesia or Patchouli, while others are more daring and will go outside the box a bit with a rare Pomegranite fragrance or even an odd aroma called "Leather" (smells like the interior of a new car - sort of :-)

Anyway, Baskin-Robbins settled on 31 flavors for a reason - there probably are a finite number of scents that a person will REALLY like - and most of that comes from experience.

People who drink wine will experiment with several flavors and brands before finally settling in with one they really like.

So, for them, does Baskin-Robbins NEED 31 flavors? Probably not. BR just needs the one THEY want!

Again, the truth is that people feel strongly about their candle scents, but can usually be swayed in favor of one or two scents that they REALLY like - enough to buy them over and over.
