We are the original Mom & Pop candlemakers.
The information you find on these web pages are the product of years of trial and error - trying this and that method of extending the enjoyment envelope for our candles - and then sharing them with friends, relatives - and, finally, you!
The art of making candles is an interesting study. It has occupied a good portion of our time these last few years, up here in the Appalachian mountains where we live and make our candles.
My wife Linda is the CCM (Chief Candle Maker) of our little company, Appalachian Candles.
She's good at it, and our small success - and loyal following of customers - led to the creation of this website.
We wanted to extend the reach of our candles beyond the local Farmers Market, where we set up in a 5 X 10 space each Saturday during the summer and fall and sell more than 15-20 candles on any given Saturday.
These are folks who visit our rural area and want something to remember it by. Our candles provide that: a deep, rich experience like no other.
Give us a try and, as we say, "you'll never buy storebought again."
