When we say that Appalachian Candles are unique, we mean it.

No other candle - in stores or on the Web - carry the same unique hallmarks of 12% oil and fine wax to give you a clean-burning, overwhelmingly aromatic experience - all the way to the bottom of the jar.

Ever wonder why so many candles "crater" in the middle - leaving caked-up wax on the sides and in the corners of the jar?

It's because the candlemakers were not considerate enough to either (a) put a hot enough wick in to make sure the wax could melt thoroughly all the way to the edges of the jar or (b) did not understand that in cases like that - with a 3" or more diameter jar opening - two wicks are needed to recreate the environment in which the candles were infused with oil.

Then, and only then, do you have an environment that guarantees a nice level melt all the way down to the bottom of the jar.

By the way, if you have jars with gooped up wax in the crannies, put the jar into an oven at around 130-140 degrees. The leftover wax turns liquid and you can then pour it into another jar. Do this with all your candles and create your own unique candle.
